This means that only 4 sounds can be played simultaneously. It was very challenging to make the music sound ‘complete’ and ‘full’. The HOH-series I did in 1996 were one of the last songs I did using these kind of trackers. I used two tracks for the beat (bassdrum & hihats) and manually entered ‘s to have several voices layered over one each other. By ‘sliding’ the samples in the free slots I could simulate different sounds and instruments playing different tunes but using just ONE slot. It was very tricky to ‘type/enter’ these layers but such a great challenge ,-)
